Background
Creating art has always been one of the most honest ways for me to express identity, emotion, and perspective. Creativity can be freeing, challenging, emotional, and deeply personal all at once. It gives people a way to communicate things that are sometimes difficult to explain otherwise. For me, art has always been less about perfection and more about connection, whether that’s with other people, ideas, or even parts of yourself you’re still figuring out.
Navigating spaces that don’t always respect or understand your identity can make that process harder. For queer people of color especially, those experiences can feel isolating at times. But finding community and seeing other people express themselves openly can completely change the way you see yourself and your future. A lot of my own growth creatively and personally came from finally feeling like I could create honestly without filtering parts of who I was.
That’s a large part of why I care so deeply about creative spaces being accessible, supportive, and open to different perspectives. Some of the most meaningful work comes from people whose voices are often overlooked or underestimated. I believe creativity should feel like a place where people can explore who they are, challenge expectations, and make something that genuinely reflects them.
Throughout my career, I’ve tried to build work that not only tells stories, but also creates connection. Whether through production, strategy, design, or storytelling, I’ve always been drawn to projects that help people feel seen in some way. I care about building creative environments where ideas can grow and where people feel encouraged to take risks, experiment, and evolve.
My goal has never been simply to create for the sake of creating. I want to build work that resonates with people and contributes something meaningful. Creativity has the ability to shape culture, community, and perspective in ways that still surprise me constantly, and that’s a big part of why I continue to do it.
I’m excited to keep growing, collaborating, and pushing ideas further. There’s always something new to learn, new people to connect with, and new ways to create something meaningful out of an idea that once only existed in your head.
